China's Xu Mengtao will look to increase her lead in the International Ski Federation Aerials World Cup standings at tomorrow's competition in front of a home crowd on Shimao Lotus Mountain.

Xu is currently dominating the World Cup standings with 260 points and triumphed in last week's event in the Belarus capital of Minsk.

Challenging her at Shimao Lotus Mountain will be her two compatriots, Shao Qi and Xu Sicun.

They are second and third in the standings, with 176 and 159 points respectively.

In the men's competition, Russia's Maxim Burov will be considered the favourite.

Like Xu, he leads the standings with 236 points and won last week in Minsk.

In second is his compatriot Stanislav Nikitin on 220 points, while the home crowd will have an athlete to cheer on in the form of Wang Xindi, who is third with 186 points.

The men's and women's qualifying will take place tomorrow, before the finals on Sunday (March 3).

There will also be a team aerials event on Sunday.

The team aerials format will be making its Winter Olympic debut at Beijing 2022.

Shimao Lotus Mountain is located at Secret Garden in China, which will host Olympic events.
