The competition at the Kisakallio Sports Institute in the Finnish city will offer qualification for two men's and two women's team for their respective World Championships in 2020.

It will be the second WCF World Qualification Event, following on from Naseby in New Zealand in January, where Finland's women and the Netherlands men secured the last available places at this year's World Championships.

China's women's and South Korea's men's teams also qualified at the event in Naseby.

The 2020 women's World Championship is scheduled to be held in Prince George in Canada from March 14 to 22.

Glasgow is set to stage the men's World Championship from March 28 to April 5.

Lohja has also been awarded the World Wheelchair-B and World Junior-B Curling Championships, both of which are due to take place in December.

The World Wheelchair-B Curling Championships will run from November 28 to December 2, with the junior-B competition following from December 10 to 18.

The B-events qualify the top three wheelchair, women’s and men’s teams for the respective world events.
