The International Ski Federation Cross Country World Cup season will continue tomorrow in Drammen with men's and women's sprint races on the agenda.

Only two sprint events will remain this season after the races in the Norwegian resort, which will be the last this term using the classic technique.

Norway's triple Olympic champion Johannes Høsflot Klaebo currently heads the sprint World Cup standings on a tally of 504 points.

With 100 points available for a victory, former sprint world champion Federico Pellegrino of Italy is second on 444.

Eirik Brandsdal of Norway is third on 337.

Olympic sprint champion Stina Nilsson of Sweden leads the women's World Cup standings in the shortest format.

She has 426 points to head Norway's sprint world champion Maiken Caspersen Falla on 363 and another Swede in Maja Dahlqvist on 340.

Norway's Therese Johaug has opted to rest and miss Drammen after winning three gold medals over longer distances at last month's World Nordic Ski Championships in Seefeld in Austria.

Both of the men's and women's events will be staged to a completion tomorrow.

The results will also influence the battle for the overall World Cup title with six legs of the season remaining.

Russia's Alexander Bolshunov tops the men's pile with a total tally of 1,230.

Klaebo, the defending overall champion, is second on 1,181 with Norway's Sjur Røthe someway adrift in third on 802.
