Russia won the men's and women's team events on the final day of the International Orienteering Federation (IOF) World Ski Orienteering Championships in Piteå.

The Russian men's team of Vladislav Kiselev, Sergey Gorlanov and Andrey Lamov was victorious in 1hour, 36mins, 30secs.

That meant Gorlanov and Lamov got their second golds of the competition.

In second was Sweden, led by Erik Rost, who finished in 1:38:44.

Lars Moholdt's Norwegian team were third in 1:40:15.

The winning Russian team in the women's competition comprised Alena Trapeznikova, Tatyana Oborina and Mariya Kechkina.

They were victorious in 1:36:11, beating the Swedish team led by Tove Alexandersson, who finished in 1:39:25.

Salla Koskela crossed the line for Finland just behind in 1:39:54, putting her in team in third place.
