Shingo Kunieda triumphed in the men’s singles as the International Tennis Federation Cajun Classic concluded.

The Japanese star was the top seed and had not dropped a set en route to the final.

His opponent, Nicolas Peifer of France, had achieved the same feat as he defied his eighth seeding at Lamar Tennis Center in Baton Rouge.

Peifer was unable to produce an upset against Kunieda, the latter easing to a 6-2, 6-4 win at the ITF wheelchair tennis Super Series event.

The women’s singles final saw an all-Dutch clash between the two top seeds.

Second seed Aniek Van Koot overcame tournament favourite Diede De Groot 6-1, 6-4.

The Dutch duo had already won the women's doubles title.

The quad singles final saw further Japanese success, as Koji Sugeno emerged the champion.

He won a first-set tie-break against Australia’s Heath Davidson.

Sugeno then dominated the second set, securing a 7-6, 6-1 victory.
