Minsk's public transport company – Minsktrans – will print tickets featuring the European Games logo in the build up to this year's event in the Belarusian capital.

The tickets will be valid for buses, trolleybuses and trams and will start being printed this month, according to BelTA.

Last year, the company introduced non-contact smart cards featuring the symbols of the European Games.

Trains on the Minsk Metro have also been decorated with the European Games logo, the official website address and the official hashtag, as well as images of the official mascot, Lesik the Fox.

One themed train has been launched on each of the two lines which make up the metro in the city.

The Minsk 2019 European Games will be held from June 21 to 30.

More than 4,000 athletes are expected to compete across 15 sports, eight of which will act as qualifiers for the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics.
