The FINA Artistic Swimming World Series will continue in Tokyo ©FINA

Tokyo is set to host the fourth event of the International Swimming Federation (FINA) Artistic Swimming World Series.

The three-day competition will take place at Tokyo Tatsumi International Swimming Center in the Japanese capital.

Prior to the competition, FINA delegates toured Tokyo Aquatics Centre as preparations continued for next year’s Olympic Games.

FINA Bureau member Tamas Gyarfas claimed the competition would build expectation ahead of the Games.

“I thank all the people involved in this leg,” Gyarfas said.

“I feel happy not only because of the perfect organisation but also because of the atmosphere.

“Wonderful artistic swimmers are participating and we would also like to the good work of the Organising Committee.”

The three-day event will begin tomorrow with the duet technical and mixed duet technical routines, as well as the solo and team technical routines.

The second day will see the team, duet and mixed duet free programmes take place.

Competition will conclude with the highlight and solo routine events on Monday (April 29), as well as the free combination.

The event in Tokyo is the fourth leg of the nine-competition Artistic Swimming World Series.
