Having won the women’s 100 metres freestyle gold on the opening day - and taken silver in a world record in last night’s 100m backstroke - the 20-year-old S8 classification swimmer excelled again in tonight’s final session.

First, she won the women’s 50m freestyle in 29.43sec, earning 1030 points.

Silver went to Italy’s Carlotta Gilli, who last night beat Tai to gold in the 100m backstroke after breaking the world record in her own S13 category.

Tonight Gilli clocked 27.36 to earn 926 points, with bronze going to Canada’s S10 swimmer Aurelie Rivard, who earned 914 points with a time of 28.20.

Elena Krawzow, Germany’s S12 category swimmer who last night broke the world record in winning the women’s 100m breaststroke, finished fourth in a stacked race.

Tai then followed up by winning the women’s 100m butterfly event, earning 997 points for her time of 1min 08.25sec.

Britain swept the podium in this race as S14 swimmer Jessica-Jane Applegate took silver, totalling 955 after finishing in 1:05.12, and bronze went to S9 swimmer Toni Shaw, who clocked 1:08.52 for 924 points.

The men’s 50m freestyle title went to Japan’s S4 swimmer Takayuki Suzuki, whose time of 38.09sec earned 957 points.

Silver went to Spain’s Jose Mari Alcaraz, an S9 competitor, who earned 851 for his time of 26.38, while Finland’s Leo Lahteenmaki, also in the S9 class, took bronze with 842 points after finishing in 26.47.

Reece Dunn set a British record in winning the men’s 100m butterfly with 991 points after finishing in 55.87sec.

Silver went to Dunn’s fellow S14 category swimmer Dai Tokairin of Japan, who totalled 931 with a time of 57.06.

Azerbaijan’s Raman Salei, an S12 swimmer, took bronze with 911 points after clocking 58.63.

Italy’s S5 swimmer Monica Boggioni won the women’s 50m backstroke with 607 points after clocking 45.67sec.

Britain’s S3 swimmer Ellis Challis, a gold medallist and world record breaker the night before, took silver in this race and a British record also, earning 489 points after a time of 1:01.53.

I Rodriguez Martinez of Spain, and S4 swimmer, was third with 34 points after finishing in 1:06.38.

The final event of four days of competition saw the Czech Republic’s S4 swimmer Amost Petracek win the men’s 50m backstroke, earning 834 points from a time of 44.22sec.

Home swimmer Andrew Mullen, in the S5 category, claimed silver with 757 points and a time of 38.18.

Spain’s S4 swimmer Ivan Fernandez won bronze with 518 points for a time of 51.81.
