Hosts Azerbaijan earned three gold medals on the first day of the International Blind Sports Federation Judo Grand Prix in Baku. 

Vugar Shirinli took victory for his country in the final of the men's -60kg at Heydar Aliyev Sports Complex. 

He defeated Romania's Florin Alexandru Bologa, with Turkey's Recep Ciftci and Kazakhstan's Olzhas Orazalyuly receiving a bronze medal apiece.

Azerbaijan picked up two more golds in the women's event. 

World silver medallist Shahana Hajiyeva triumphed in the -48kg final against China's Li Liqing, while France's Paralympic champion, Sandrine Martinet, was resigned to third place.

Uzbekistan's Lobar Khurramova was awarded the remaining bronze medal. 

It was an all-Azerbaijan final in the -57kg, with Sevda Valiyeva beating team-mate Afag Sultanova.

Bronze went to Turkey's Zeynep Celik and Uzbekistan's Parvina Samandarova. 

Uzbekistan's world champion Feruz Sayidov won in the -73kg gold-medal bout against Ukraine's Rufat Mahomedov.

Azerbaijan added a bronze to their medal haul through Ramil Gasimov, the other given to Ukraine's Serhii Kotenko.
