American Margie Goldstein-Engle claimed the title at the Longines Global Champions Tour in Hamburg.

The veteran rider, who has 210 grand prix victories under her belt, was the quickest across the German fences at Derby-Park Klein Flottbeck as she navigated the course in a net time of 72.95sec.

At the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, Australia, Goldstein-Engle was the highest placed woman and American rider in the individual competition, riding Hidden Creek’s Perin to a 10th-place tie.

The 61-year-old earned a team gold and individual bronze medal at the 2003 Pan American Games and was part of the United States silver medal winning team at the 2006 International Federation for Equestrian Sports World Equestrian Games aboard Hidden Creek’s Quervo Gold.

Goldstein-Engle had a wide margin to closest rival, Roger-Yves Bost of France.

The Frenchman was best of the rest in 74.96 on Sunshine du Phare.

Ireland's Shane Sweetnam on Alejandro completed the podium in 75.74.
