Caro scored 256.33 points to see off Portuguese duo Gustavo Ribeiro on 252.67 and Jorge Simoes on 239.33.

In a Spanish one-two-three, Mar Barrera won the women’s title ahead of 10-year-old Daniela Terol and Andrea Benitez.

Elsewhere, Britain’s Joe Atkinson triumphed in the roller freestyle on 92.00 ahead of French duo Nicolas Servy on 91.33 and Jérémy Melique on 89.33.

Japan’s Chihiro Azuma lived up to her pre-event billing as she won the women’s event on 83.79.

In the scooter park competition, which doubled as the World Skate-ISA Scooter World Championship, American Jonmarco Gaydos triumphed with 90.80 in the men’s section.

His compatriot Chris Farris was second on 90.60 while Australia’s Dylan Morrison took bronze on 90.40.

American Rebeca Ortiz won the women’s title on 78.60, with New Zealand’s Alexandra Madsen second on 77.20 and Australia’s Bianca Dilworth third on 76.40.
