China’s Zhang Hao won his third consecutive global crown in men’s classic slalom as inline freestyle action continued today at the World Roller Games in Barcelona.

Zhang triumphed ahead of Italians Lorenzo Guslandi and Valerio Degli Agostini, who ranked second and third, respectively, at the Spanish city's Sant Jordi Club.

There was also success for China in the women’s classic slalom event with Su Feiqian defending her world title.

Russia’s Daria Kuznetsova was the runner-up, while Poland’s Klaudia Hartmanis came third.

In the pairs event, Guslandi and Agostini prevailed to claim their third world crown.

China’s Gu Kunqi and Zeng Chenyu were the silver medallists and were followed on the podium by Japan’s Masayoshi Shibagaki and Taiki Shibagaki.  

Zhang and Chinese partner Ye Haoqin finished down in fifth place behind Thailand’s Wattapong Kongpan and Kan Namtaptimtong.

Among the other disciplines in which medals were awarded today was Alpine with Germany having winning athletes in both the men’s and women’s parallel slalom events.

Manuel-Alessandro Zörlein won the men’s title at the Parc de Montjuïc-Passeig del Migdia circuit.

Latvia’s Miks Zvejnieks finished second, while Germany’s Sven Ortel came third.

In the women’s competition, Manuela Schmohl led a German one-two-three finish ahead of Claudia Wittmann and Ann-Krystina Wanzke.

Speed action also continued today with wins for Belgium’s Bart Swings and Italy’s Francesca Lollobrigida in the men’s and women’s 15,000 metres elimination events, respectively, at the Front Marítim circuit.

Swings held off Colombia’s Oscar Felipe Cobo Lenis for victory as France’s Beddiaf Nolan rounded off the podium.

Lollobrigida, meanwhile, beat Colombia’s Johana Viveros and Chinese Taipei’s Ho-Chen Yang to top honours.
