Israel fired a warning to potential semi-final opponents Wales by securing an 18-12 win over their rivals at the Women’s European Lacrosse Championship.

The hosts triumphed in their final Group A fixture at Tubruq Field in Netanya, a result which secured them third in the group.

They will now face Netherlands for the right to take on the Welsh in the last four, after the Dutch topped Group B courtesy of an 11-5 success against Norway.

Czech Republic won Group C having thumped Finland 22-0 and will face Ireland, with a semi-final against defending champions England the reward.

England rounded off their flawless Group A campaign with a 15-4 victory over Scotland.

In Group C, Spain beat Sweden 9-8, with both teams out of the reckoning for the semi-finals.
