Kazakhstan, Lithuania, Moldova and Turkey secured their place in the last 16 of the UEFA European qualifier for the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup in Moscow.

The Kazakh side qualified by virtue of a 3-2 win over Czech Republic in what was effectively a play-off for the last knockout round berth in Group C.

Moldova pipped Norway to the third available place in the last 16 from Group B with a 3-2 victory after extra-time at Luzhniki Park.

It gave Moldova two points and consigned Norway to elimination from the tournament.

Lithuania were also involved in a playoff as they went up against Turkey for third place in Group E.

They earned a comfortable 2-0 win to join Switzerland and Belarus as the Group E qualifiers.

Turkey squeezed through to the last 16 despite the defeat as the best of the fourth-placed finishers.

They qualified with a goal difference of minus seven, one better than nearest rivals Estonia.

Five places at this year's Beach Soccer World Cup are on offer at the competition in the Russian capital, which is due to continue tomorrow.
