Russia's Kirill Korolev has won the men's under-49 kilograms title on the final day of the World Cadet Taekwondo Championships in Tashkent.

Korolev defeated Thailand's Banlung Tubtimdang 11-3 in the final to secure the title at Universal Sports Palace in Uzbekistan’s capital.

The bronze medals went to losing semi-finalists Amirhossein Maleki of Iran and Egypt's Mohamed Osama Husseien.

In the men's under-57kg Ukraine's Simur Mirzoiev won 21-8 against Chinese Taipei's Feng-Yin Chang.

Ayoub Bouriel of Canada and Turkey's Hakan Kaya claimed the bronze medals.

Iran's golden tally rose to seven on day four of the Championships with Abolfazi Abbasi Pouya and Parnia Salmani taking the top step of the podium.

Abbasi Pouya cruised to victory in the men's under-61kg final, recording a 33-13 win against the United States' Aiden Bevel,

Completing the podium were Chia-Sheng Chen from Chinese Taipei and Morocco's Abarkan Hassan.

Salmani was crowned world champion in the women's under-37kg.

She defeated Kamonchanok Sikhen of Thailand 21-18 for gold.

Assel Abubakir of Kazakhstan and Yulia Vitko of Belarus were the bronze medallists.

Turkey's Zehra Begum Kavukçuoğlu won the women's over-59kg title with a 23-0 triumph against Daniela Miliushchankava from Belarus.

The bronze medals were awarded to Chun Chin I of Chinese Taipei and Japan's Hyeonji Jang.

Iran topped the women’s team table with a total of 818 points with Thailand scoring 366 points in second.

South Korea were third on 197 points.

Russia scored 649 points in topping the men's team table.

Iran were the best of the rest on 287 points with Ukraine third on 270 points.

Men's under-41kg champion Zafarbek Karimov and women's under-44kg champion Abbaspour Fazlabad Sanaz of Iran were awarded Most Valued Player awards.

Australia were awarded the Active Participation award, while Morocco were received the Good Fighting Spirit award.
