David Aaron Carr beat Japan’s Jintaro Motoyama 5-4 in the 74 kilograms final, while Mason Mark Parris defeated Iran’s Amir Hossein Abbas Zare 3-1 in the 125kg final at the Estonian capital's Tondiraba Ice Hall.

Turkey’s Abdulvasi Balta and Azerbaijan’s Khadzhimurad Gadzhiyev were the 74kg bronze medallists.

The 125kg bronze medals went to Russia’s Alen Khubulov and Turkey’s Pasa Ekrem Karabulut.

There was disappointment for the US in the 92kg final, however, as Lucas John Davison fell to a 5-4 defeat at the hands of Russia’s Alan Bagaev. 

Rounding off the podium were Germany’s Ertugrul Agca and India’s Viky Viky. 

Also tasting victory today were Japan’s Kaiki Yamaguchi and India’s Deepak Punia.

Yamaguchi overcame Ukraine’s Andrii Dzhelep 13-2 in the 61kg final before Punia edged Russia’s Alik Shebzukhov in the 86kg final.

American Gabriel Tagg and Russia’s Alik Khadartsev were the 61kg bronze medallists.

The 86kg bronze medals went to the Trent Niemond Hidlay of the US and Canada’s Hunter Jeffery Lee.

Japan are set to be represented in three of the women's wrestling finals decided today.

Yui Susaki will face Russia's Daria Khvostova at 50kg, Sae Nanjo meeting Moldova’s Anastasia Nichita at 59kg and Naruha Matsuyuki going up against Kyrgyzstan’s Meerim Zhumanazarova at 68kg.

The two other finals pit Poland’s Patrycja Gil against Russia’s Ekaterina Verbina at 55kg and Chinese Taipei’s Hui Tsz Chang against Cuba’s Milaimys de la Caridad Marin Potrille at 76kg. 

All five finals are due to take place tomorrow.

Competition is also scheduled to begin in the 53kg, 57kg, 62kg, 65kg and 72kg women's wrestling categories.
