Croatia's Roko Stipanovic claimed three race wins in his boys' division group today to take the lead at the International Laser Class Association Laser 4.7 Youth World Championships in Kingston.
Stipanovic holds a four-point advantage over Turkey's Derin Baytur and Russia's Dmitry Golovkin, who occupy second and third position, respectively, following the first day of racing at the Canadian city's Portsmouth Olympic Harbour.
Baytur had fourth, second and first-place finishes, while Golovkin ranked first once and third twice.
Unsuitable weather conditions prevented any racing from taking place yesterday.
In the girls' division, Cyprus' Marilena Makri is out in front with two race wins.
Italy's Sara Savelli is second with two runners-up finishes, while Switzerland's Anja Von Allmen is third with fifth and fourth-place finishes.
Action in Kingston is due to continue tomorrow.
