Japanese double Olympic champion Yuzuru Hanyu headlines the men's competition at Skate Canada in Kelowna.

The second leg of the Grand Prix of Figure Skating begins tomorrow at Prospera Place.

Pyeongchang 2018 and Sochi 2014 gold medallist Hanyu will be skating in the men's event, with compatriot Keiji Tanaka also competing.

Matteo Rizzo of Italy is another skater to watch, having triumphed at this month's Shanghai Open.

Olympic silver medallist and double world champion Evgenia Medvedeva of Russia will feature in the women's competition alongside reigning Grand Prix Final champion Rika Kihira of Japan.

Threatening to end the dominance of both skaters, however, is Medvedeva's compatriot, 15-year-old Alexandra Trusova.

The double junior world champion helped Europe to victory at the Japan Open this month.

American ice-dance duo Madison Hubbell and Zachary Donohue are making the trip up north from Las Vegas, where they claimed the gold medal at Skate America.

The reigning Grand Prix Final champions face competition in Piper Gilles and Paul Poirier of Canada, who won September's Autumn Classic International.

In the pairs, Kirsten Moore-Towers and Michael Marinaro lead the home contingent, but Russia's world silver medallists Evgenia Tarasova and Vladimir Morozov are favourites to come out on top.

Competition begins tomorrow with the short programme, with the free skating on Saturday (October 26).
