Athletes have been attending registration and weigh-ins in preparation for tomorrow's competition, held in the United Arab Emirates for the first time. 

The games classic bodybuilding will start off the first day, with athletes judged in the 175 centimetre and over-175cm categories. 

The 168cm, 171cm, 175cm, 180cm and over-180cm classic bodybuilding categories will then be contested, followed by the same five categories in classic physique.

Men's physique is set to finish off the day, with competition in the 170cm, 173cm, 176cm, 179cm, 182cm and over-182cm. 

On Saturday (November 9), 10 categories in the men's bodybuilding division will be held.

Athletes will battle it out in the 60 kilogram, 65kg, 70kg, 75kg, 80kg, 85kg, 90kg, 95kg and 100kg. 

The muscular men's physique open is then scheduled, before the winner of the men's bodybuilding over-100kg is crowned.

Competition will end with the announcement of the IFBB world ranking results and awards in the men's classic bodybuilding, men's physique and men's bodybuilding disciplines. 

Iran topped the medal table at last year's edition with eight gold medals, one silver and two bronze, while South Korea were second with four golds, five silvers and two bronze. 

China finished third after collecting three gold medals, two silver and one bronze. 

The IFBB organised their Executive Committee meeting and General Assembly for the run-up to the main event, with an Opening Ceremony held here today.
