The FIFA World Cup winner is an ambassador for the sport and has been heavily involved in its promotion.

He will be on hand in the Chinese city where two days of doubles action are scheduled.

It will be a taster of what is to come at next year's Asian Beach Games, also taking place in Sanya, where teqball will be an official medal sport for the first time.

A web results platform will be available after FITEQ signed an agreement with Bornan Sports Technology.

Both parties worked together at the African Beach Games in Cape Verde this year and have teamed up to provide results in real time.

As well as the Asia-Pacific Beach Cup, the World Championship in Budapest between December 6 and 8 and the Teqball Masters in Riyadh between December 17 and 19 are included as part of the agreement.

The platform will be given a FITEQ look and include various features including reports, athlete information and a competition calendar.

A sponsorship deal with Bornan is part of the arrangement.
