The winner of the inaugural World Fair Play Photography Contest, organised in cooperation with the Turkish Olympic Committee (TOC) Fair Play Commission and Izmir's Bornova Municipality, has been announced.

Turkish journalist Mutlu Yılmaz won the competition, which aims to make society adopt fair play as a lifestyle.

Yılmaz, representing İzmir 9 Eylül newspaper, took the winning photo during the under-12 Izmir Cup football tournament in April.

In the photo, a goalkeeper is being consoled by a member of the opposition team after Turkish side Altınordu FK beat Welsh outfit Cardiff City in a penalty shoot-out in the last-16.
