A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between the Guam National Olympic Committee (GNOC) and the country’s Department of Education.

The initiative will help to provide programme support to Department of Education’s new Interscholastic Sports Association (ISA).

The MoU was signed between GNOC President Ricardo C. Blas, Superintendent Jon Fernandez, and ISA acting programme coordinator Al Garrido.

The GNOC are due to begin providing support in mid-January with a programme entitled "Developing a healthy understanding of a balanced student-athletes lifestyle".

The first training session is scheduled for January 18 at the Department of Education headquarters in Tiyan.

Similar in-class presentations with high school sports athletes will be held throughout the remainder of this school year.
