Chengdu 2021 has launched a campaign which will see 20,000 special Summer World University Games lottery tickets given to passengers arriving at the Chinese city.
Entitled "Show Youth, Run Universiade," the campaign launched at Terminal Two in Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport.
Arriving passengers were given lottery tickets by Chengdu 2021 mascot Rongbao.
Those with lottery tickets are invited to scrape off the coating to find the winning Universiade symbol, with a maximum of 100,000 Chinese Yuan (£11,000/$14,000/€13,000) set to be won.
Six lottery tickets were released in total, with each one showing off Chengdu's expertise in either culture, tourism, sports, food, music or exhibitions.
The campaign is run jointly with the south-west branch of Air China.
Lottery tickets were also given out at six different stations on the Chengdu Metro, while tickets will be available to buy in more than 7,000 lottery sale shops across Sichuan Province.
Chengdu 2021 is scheduled for August 8 to 19, with 18 sports to be contested.
