Olena Buryak earned her second title of the World Rowing Indoor Championships as competition concluded in Paris. 

The Ukrainian successfully defended her 500 metres title yesterday, today topping the podium at the Pierre de Coubertin Stadium again in the 2,000m.

She triumphed in 6min 31.7sec, beating the French duo of Helene Lefebvre and Elodie Ravera in times of 6:46.6 and 6:47.4 respectively. 

The hosts had more success in the women's lightweight 2,000m, with Laura Tarantola winning the event in 7:07.3. 

Compatriot Marie Margot Joannes was second in 7:22.2, followed by Jilly Tovey of Germany in 7:25.5. 

Alexander Vyazovkin of Russia was the victor in the men's 2,000m, surpassing Switzerland's Barnabe Delarze's time of 5:45.2. 

Matthieu Androdias of France completed the podium in 5:47.5.

There was another French one-two in the men's lightweight 2,000m.

Pierre Houin was the victor in 6:06.5, with Thibault Colard behind him in 6:10.0.

Third place went to Martino Goretti of Italy in 6:11.8.
