The German Paralympic Committee (DBS) has extended its deal with Deutsche Sport Marketing (DSM).

It continues an arrangement that has been in place since 2007 with a new agreement set to kick-in on January 1, 2021.

DSM is also in charge of marketing for the German Olympic Sports Confederation.

For the Paralympic body, they work to develop sport for people with disabilities in Germany while creating propositions for potential business partners.

At Tokyo 2020, a "Team Germany" brand has been created which will see Olympic and Paralympic athletes compete under the same banner for the first time.

"We are pleased that we can continue working with a strong partner," said DBS President Friedhelm Julius Beucher.

"The fact that Deutsche Sport Marketing is responsible for marketing for both the German Olympic Sports Confederation and the German Paralympic Committee is a sign of Olympic and Paralympic sport at eye level.

"We are convinced that the continuation of this partnership will contribute to further strengthening Paralympic sport in Germany."

Claudia Wagner, managing director of DSM, added: "After the positive developments of the past years, we are extremely motivated to continue to push the Germany Paralympics team together with the DBS and its partners in marketing based on our expertise.

"We are proud to see the importance of Paralympic sport in the media, among our partners and in society.

"A major milestone was certainly the launch of the new Team Germany Paralympics brand in August 2019, which will offer us new and further marketing opportunities in the future."
