Karlien Sleper claimed her second victory in as many days at the women's monobob event in Park City.

The Dutchwoman clocked a combined time of 1min 56.63sec to win the fifth leg of the season at the Utah Olympic Park Track.

Sleper was the quickest on both runs, recording times of 57.36sec and 59.27sec.

It was a much slower race than yesterday, which Kleper won in a track record 1:49.20.

Vanessa D'Arpino of hosts the United States finished second today in 1:58.99, improving by one position from yesterday.

Brazil's Silva Tuono Marina timed in at 1:59.39 for third place.

Sleper is the first pilot to win two women's mononob races this season.

In Königssee in Germany, China's Ying Qing and Australia's Breeana Walker could not be separated at the head of the field.

Russia's Anastasiia Makarova won in Lillehammer in Norway and Canada's Cynthia Appiah was quickest in Lake Placid in the US.

Two more stops of the season are now scheduled with La Plagne in France playing host on March 7 and 8.

The season will conclude in Lake Placid on April 3.

Women's monobob will make its Olympic debut at Beijing 2022.
