France, who had come through 4-7, 6-2, 7-3 against Italy to reach the final, had a far clearer margin of victory in the final as they came through 20-10, 12-1.

Lithuania had beaten Russia 6-1, 3-2 in their semi-final.

Russia claimed the bronze medal with a 13-3, 5-0 win over Italy.
