Canada also ensured their qualification following today's matches although they did suffer defeat in the morning as they were beaten 5-4 by the Czech Republic, who scored a single point on the final end to seal victory.

The Canadians made amends in the afternoon session beating Sweden 9-4, after scoring a total of eight points over the last two ends of the match to seal the win.

Sweden also secured qualification to the knockout stages, beating Russia 4-2 in the morning before going down to Canada later in the day, and leaving both countries with records of seven wins and two losses.

Norway and Russia are in pole position for the final qualification spot as they both sit on five wins and four losses.

The Norwegians lost both matches today against China and Scotland while the Russians also suffered defeat in both their matches at the hands of Sweden and the Czech Republic.

Korea, Latvia and Slovakia all sit on records of four wins and five losses and have a chance of the final qualification spot.

There are 12 matches on the final day of round-robin play tomorrow, with key clashes seeing Latvia play Russia in the morning and Norway playing Slovakia in the afternoon.
