Coronavirus has forced the postponement of the International Boxing Association (AIBA) Continental Forum for Africa, due to take place in Morocco.

The Forum had been pencilled in to take place from March 13 to 15, in the Moroccan city of Casablanca.

It is now set to take place later this year, however, due to the global outbreak of coronavirus.

Forums have already been held for the Americas in Panama City, in Natadola in Fiji for Oceania, and in Amman in Jordan for Asia.

The European Forum, scheduled for February 28 in the Italian city of Assisi, was also postponed due to coronavirus.

More than 108,000 people have been infected by coronavirus worldwide, with more than 3,600 deaths.

Morocco have two confirmed cases, with the Government suspending all cultural activities, sports events, seminars and other meetings attended by foreign guests in a bid to contain the virus.

The forums were devised by AIBA marketing commission chair Umar Kremlev to create fruitful dialogue between AIBA, Confederations and National Federations after a crisis-riddled year for the organisation.

AIBA was stripped of its Olympic status last June over a number of issues, including governance, finances and refereeing and judging.

The organisation's future remains precarious due to a large amount of debt and uncertain leadership, with Moustahsane currently acting as Interim President after the resignation of Uzbekistan's Gafur Rakhimov.
