International Ski Federation (FIS) Ski Jumping World Cup action in the Norwegian capital of Oslo has been cancelled due to poor weather.

It was the last day of competition in Oslo, with qualifying and a team event taking place on Friday and Saturday (March 6 and 7).

Spectators had been unable to attend, however, in an effort to contain the spread of coronavirus.

The men's and women's individual finals, due to take place today, have now been cancelled due to strong wind and rain, and heavy fog.

With the event in Oslo part of the Raw Air Tournament, competition will be rescheduled for the next event in Lillehammer, due to begin tomorrow.

"We will definitely have some replacement in Lillehammer tomorrow," said FIS race director Walter Hofer.

"The exact schedule will be announced later."
