Magdalena Egger celebrated gold on back-to-back days at the Alpine Junior World Ski Championships at Narvik in Norway.

The Austrian skier topped the women’s downhill podium yesterday at the International Ski Federation event.

Egger added to her medal tally by winning the women’s super-G competition in a time of 1min 8.10sec.

She finished with a cushion of 0.28 seconds over team-mate Lisa Grill, who finished as the runner-up.

France’s Karen Smadja Clement secured bronze by finishing in 1:08.39.

New Zealand’s Alice Robinson, who has won two World Cup giant slalom events this season, placed fourth.

Stefan Rieser won the men’s super-G title, leading an Austrian one-two finish.

Rieser clinched gold in 1:06.47, adding to his bronze medal in the downhill.

Team-mate Armin Dornauer finished as the runner-up in 1:06.98.

Bronze was earned by Switzerland’s Yannick Chabloz in a time of 1:07.01.

Women’s Alpine combined competition will take place tomorrow.
