The Executive Committee was scheduled to meet on May 26 and 27, while the Council was supposed to hold a two-day meeting on the following two days.

The FIG said it was in discussion with local organisers over the possibility of finding new dates for the meetings.

World Cup legs in Uzbekistan, Italy, Qatar, Bulgaria and Azerbaijan have all been postponed - many without new dates yet announced.

World Cup events in Britain, Germany, Japan, Portugal, Belgium and Switzerland have already been cancelled, with re-arranging them not seen as a viable option.

The European Union of Gymnastics had also been forced into cancelling a series of events.

Four European Championships have been axed in light of the outbreak - all had been scheduled for April and May.

The European Gym for Life Challenge, planned to take place in the Icelandic capital Reykjavik from July 11 to 16, has been postponed.
