World Archery has launched an international search for archive content to add to its collection.

The Federation, which is based in Lausanne in Switzerland and was established in 1931, is looking to expand its collection of historical material.

Anyone who has photographs or videos of major archery events or any pieces of archery memorabilia related to past events or successful athletes is being encouraged to share their material with the governing body.

Although World Archery’s archive contains some images, items and results stretching back to its founding, the Federation says the quantity of material that exists from before the launch of the Hyundai Archery World Cup in 2006 is quite limited.

Anyone who has content that they wish to contribute to the archive while retaining possession of it is asked to complete an archive material form which can be downloaded from the World Archery website

Completed forms should then be e-mailed to [email protected] giving as much description of the content as possible.
