Paralympic track and field medallist Lenine Cunha has recorded his at-home workout which can be copied during the period of coronavirus lockdown.

Cunha is an athlete ambassador for Virtus, the organisation formerly known as the International Sports Federation for Persons with Intellectual Disability.

"At this difficult time it is important that everyone plays their part in the fight against the coronavirus," Cunha said.

"Stay home.

"That's all it takes to protect you and all the people you care about.

"Do not jeopardise your safety or anyone else's.

"In the end everything will be fine.

"I will show you a little bit of my training at home."

The 37-year-old Cunha won bronze for Portugal in the F20 long jump at the London 2012 Paralympics.

His other achievements include World Championship gold in the T20 triple jump, which he managed in 2015 in Doha.
