The Hangzhou 2022 Asian Games Organising Committee has held a meeting to discuss selecting hotels to partner with.

Held on April 29, the meeting was attended by representatives from the Organising Committee, hotels and media organisations.

Criteria was laid out for choosing the hotels, with the layout of venues for the Games and their locations also highlighted.

Members of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA), journalists, athletes and technical officials will be eligible to stay in the accommodation.

No more than 70 official hotels will be chosen by the Organising Committee across Hangzhou, excluding Jiande - a city within the larger metropolitan area of Hangzhou but 85 miles from the city centre.

There will be no more than two hotels selected in the Qiantang New Area, Yuhang district, Fuyang district, Tonglu county and Chun'an county respectively, with hotels ranging from three to five stars.

Applicants will be reviewed by the Organising Committee as well as the OCA, with official hotels being removed if they do not meet required standards.

The deadline for hotels to apply passed on May 9, with updates on official partners set to be published on the Hangzhou 2022 website.
