The event was timed to coincide with the pre-launch of LGBT History Month, whose theme, in the run up to 2012, will be sport.

The London Gay Games Bid Committee was also on hand to answer questions about the bid.

In addition to news and events, the website offers ways for volunteers to support and get involved with the bid.

The Bid committee also announced that a "Well Fit" sports party to celebrate the participation of athletes at the Gay Games and Out Games will function as the closing party to the 2011 LGBT History Month.

It will be held at the nightclub Union, in Vauxhall, London.

The venue has three distinct areas, a bar for networking and sports club exhibitions, an interactive sports area for playing pool or Wii Fit, and a dance area.
