The Botswana National Olympic Committee (BNOC) held its second virtual sport administration course for athletes.

The course began on Tuesday (August 12) and finished yesterday, with all sessions held online due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Topics covered included a background on the Olympic Movement, the Olympic Values, management skills, governance tools, public relations, science in sport, and anti-doping.

A test and evaluation was then held at the end of the course.

Participants were able to attend an event where they were awarded a certificate, before a Closing Ceremony took place to mark the end of the course.

Those attending were required to wear face masks during the ceremony.

BNOC President Botsanag Tshenyego revealed in June that the organisation were struggling financially due to the pandemic, but had a plan to cope.

He praised the organisation for its work developing and assisting coaches, medical personnel and administrators, but accepted COVID-19 had had an impact on activities.
