A virtual ASBC Referees and Judges Commission meeting has already been led by Paiboon Srichaisawat of Thailand.

The former Olympian was one of 11 Commission members to take part in the meeting.

Focus was placed on the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on activities led by the Commission, and on the national level jobs of referees and judges.

Srichaisawat suggested an education system should be in place for National Federations during the ongoing pandemic.

It was confirmed that the ASBC Referees and Judges Commission and the body's chair Mohamed Kamel Shbib, who was unable to participate in the meeting due to technical difficulties, had proposed a web seminar.

The seminar is scheduled to take place on Saturday (September 19).

The event is aimed at educating referees and judges and will be available to officials of all levels.

The ASBC said Srichaisawat had requested a separate list of all the active International Boxing Federation (AIBA) referees and judges, with the organisation then finalising a list from its affiliated Asian National Federations.

ASBC sports director Omar Aljabri told the members that AIBA need to inform some referees and judges of exam results after tests held in 2019.

A suggestion was made to hold exams during the upcoming ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships.

This event is scheduled to take place in India during January.
