Portugal has held its first National Challenger Series event as the circuit continued with competitions in Hungary and Serbia.

Antonio Henriques was among the stars of the tournament in the Portuguese city of Santarém, beating Alan Cavalcanti 12-8, 8-12, 12-8 in the singles final.

Henriques was unable to add the doubles gold medal to his singles triumph as he and partner Joao Pinheiro lost 12-7, 12-11 to compatriots Lucas Prado and Antonio Borges.

Ines Lopes and Renato Bento took the mixed doubles crown with a 12-7, 12-5 victory over Ana Luis and Joao Coelho.

The Phoenix Teqball Academy in Budapest played host to the second Hungarian National Challenger Series event, where Adam Bako came back to beat Ádám Blazsovics 6-12, 12-11, 15-13 to seal the singles title.

In the doubles, pre-tournament favourites Blazsovics and Csaba Banyik overcame Bako and Soma Fordos 12-9, 12-7, while victory in the mixed doubles went to Banyik and Zsanett Janicsek by virtue of a 12-10, 12-10 triumph against Bako and Lea Vasas.

Bogdan Marojevic continued his superb start to the Series in Serbia as he won gold in the singles and doubles for the second consecutive event.

Marojevic clinched singles glory after edging out Nikola Mitro 2-8, 11-12, 12-9 in the final.

The duo put singles rivalry aside, teaming up to beat Vukasin Adamovic and Vukasin Strboja 12-4, 12-1 in the doubles event.

Mitro and Maja Umicevic edged out Dragana Tanasic and Slobodan Simic 12-6, 12-7 to win the mixed doubles crown.
