USA Bobsled and Skeleton (USABS) has extended its agreement with the race suit company Qwixskinz through to 2022.

The deal with Qwixskinz will see the manufacturer remain an official supplier to the United States skeleton team until after the 2022 Winter Olympic Games in Bejing.

Qwixskinz has provided USABS with skeleton race suits and  bobsled protective shirts since 2011.

"The US programme is proud to continue the partnership with Qwixskinz," skeleton head coach Tuffy Latour said.

"Deanna [Panting, Qwixskinz founder and chief executive] and Jeremy [Peterson] are leaders in making athletes faster and more aerodynamic.

"They have worked tirelessly to make sure we get what we need to win and be the best.

"We’re proud to be associated with Qwixskinz and we look forward to working for them for years to come."

Panting said the company was delighted to continue its partnership with USABS.

"Qwixskinz is proud to be part of these athletes’ best days and is thrilled to continue to provide every aerodynamic advantage on the way to the podium," she said.

"In a sport where winning means taking the toughest lines, the US bobsled team will do so knowing Qwixskinz has their backs."
