The 2021 World Archery Para Championships have been moved to 2022 because of the coronavirus pandemic.

World Archery has identified February 18 to 27 in 2022 as the new window for the event in Dubai.

Previously, dates in 2021 had not been confirmed.

The Dubai Club for People of Determination was chosen as the venue for the 2021 World Archery Para Championships in August 2019.

It is purpose-built for impaired athletes and in February staged the sixth edition of the Fazza Para Archery World Ranking Tournament.

The 2023 World Archery Para Championships are unaffected by the change, World Archery said.

That event is still due to take place in Pilsen in the Czech Republic and will remain the primary qualifier for the Paris 2024 Paralympics.

Dutch city 's-Hertogenbosch hosted the most recent edition of the World Archery Para Championships, in 2019.
