Organisers of the International Biathlon Union (IBU) World Cup leg in Antholz have extended their marketing agreement with Infront through to the 2029-2030 campaign.

The new deal covers all marketing rights held by the Organising Committee for the next four seasons.

It follows the IBU extending its overall deal with the sports marketing company in February of this year.

"The early extension of this long-term partnership is a sign of trust and gives us the opportunity to continue using and marketing the IBU World Cup Biathlon events in Antholz as an ideal advertising platform for sponsors," said Infront's vice-president of winter sports Stefan Krauss.

Lorenz Leitgeb, President of the Organising Committee for the Biathlon World Cup in the Italian resort, also welcomed the new agreement with Infront.

"Infront has been a very respectable and reliable partner to us for many years," said Leitgeb.

"We are proud that we have been able to set the course for the upcoming years until 2030 together with Infront.

"It means we can now work together on the future which wouldn't have been possible without Infront's cooperation.

"We are looking forward to continue having Infront by our side and staying true to the motto 'never change a winning team.'"

The next Biathlon World Cup in Antholz, which hosted this year's World Championships, is scheduled to take place from January 21 to 24.

The Italian venue is set to be one of only six resorts to stage a World Cup in the 2020-2021 season as part of the IBU's efforts to reduce the risk posed by COVID-19.
