Bowls Australia (BA) has announced a new partnership with hearing healthcare company Audika.

Founded in 1976, Audika has more than 400 hearing clinics across Australia.

The company specialises in a range of personalised hearing-care services, including screenings, full hearing tests, the fitting of hearing aids and aftercare packages.

Under the new partnership, both BA and Audika are now committed to providing access to quality hearing healthcare across the Australian bowls community.

"We are delighted to have commenced a formal partnership with Audika and hope to share their vision throughout the grassroots bowls community," said Bowls Australia chief executive Neil Dalrymple.

Members of the community are encouraged to book a free annual hearing health check with Audika.

In turn, the company will donate AUD10 (£5.50/$7.40/€6.10) to their local bowling club.

In addition, interested clubs will be able to host Audika at their events, where they will provide free hearing screenings for attendees and a AUD250 (£138/$186/€153) donation will be committed back to the club.

A key element of the partnership will be significant exposure for Audika across BA’s digital and broadcast platforms, plus a presence at the 2021 Australian Open.

"We are excited to join the bowling community and to continue to make a difference to people’s hearing health," said Janet Muir, Audika Australia and New Zealand managing director.

"Audika, like bowls has locations across the country and look forward to partnering with BA to provide local communities with expert hearing care and the latest in hearing technology."
