Adecco Group AG has extended its partnership with the Swiss University Sports Foundation (SUSF) until 2022.

The SUSF supports Swiss University Sports on a subsidiary basis and contributes to improving Switzerland's performance in international sport.

Swiss University Sports President Mike Kurt claimed the organisation was a "perfect fit" with Adecco Group AG.

"The Adecco Group AG and Swiss University Sports are a perfect fit," Kurt said.

"With its more than 200,000 members, Swiss University Sports not only makes an important contribution to the broad promotion of physical activity in our country, but is also committed to enabling young top athletes to combine 'top-class sport and study' during their careers.

"In this way, future top performers and managers are trained for the Swiss economy and society."

The Adecco Group claims to be the global market leader in integrated personnel services and is headquartered in Zurich.

The company offers tailor-made human resources (HR) solutions for job seekers and companies, outsourcing and outplacement of entire HR processes, career planning services and talent development.

It employs around 34,000 people in more than 60 countries.

"I firmly believe that mental and physical fitness is an important success factor in the job market and that sporting activities make a valuable contribution to the development of young people," said Adecco Group AG Board chairman and Swiss University Sports Foundation Board member Jean-Christophe Deslarzes.

"The promotion of the 'dual career', i.e. making it possible to reconcile top performance in work and education, or in sport and training, is also a major concern for me personally."

Swiss University Sports also recently renewed its cooperation deal with Swiss Olympic, the country's National Olympic Committee.
