Turkey's Buse Tosun, twice a European medallist at 68kg, fell to Yaneva in the 72kg final.

The UWW Individual World Cup is taking place in lieu of the World Championships, which Belgrade was due to host before they were called off because of the coronavirus pandemic reducing the number of leading nations prepared to send a team.

Canada's Olympic champion Erica Wiebe is among the high-profile athletes competing, but she lost in the 76kg semi-finals to Yasemin Adar of Turkey.

Adar, a former world champion, won via a fall and will face Germany's Aline Rotter-Focken - herself an ex-world champion - in the final.

Three Moldovans - Anastasia Nichita at 57kg, Mariana Cherdivara Esanu at 59kg and Irina Ringaci at 65kg - were among the other wrestlers to qualify for finals today.

Nichita is the reigning 59kg European champion.
