Axelsen was the winner of the Yonex Thailand Open earlier this month and has now reached his second successive BWF World Tour final. 

He overcame second seed Chou Tien-chen, defeating the star from Chinese Taipei 21-19, 21-15 at Bangkok's Impact Arena.

Vittinghus faced compatriot Anders Antonsen and triumphed 21-19, 21-8. 

Carolina Marín of Spain also reached her second consecutive final, having clinched the women's title at the Yonex Thailand Open. 

She defeated An Se-young of South Korea 21-19, 21-5 to set up a rematch with Tai Tzu Ying of Chinese Taipei. 

Top seed Tai battled against home favourite Ratchanok Intanon to come back from one game down and win 12-21, 21-12, 23-21. 

Olympic champion Marín convincingly beat Tai 21-9, 21-16 in the Yonex Thailand Open final. 

"I’m much happier today than the rest of the games I played this week," said Marín. 

"Sometimes it’s tough for the mindset when you win a tournament just three days ago and you have to start a tournament all over again. 

"You have to keep all your focus every day. 

"So I’m very happy that I could reach my second final."

Both the men's and women's finals are scheduled to take place tomorrow.  

Wang Chi-lin and Lee Yang of Chinese Taipei will face Malyasian duo Soh Wooi Yik and Aaron Chia in the men's doubles final, while the women's doubles final will be an all-South Korean affair.

Kim So-Yeong and Kong Hee-yong won in straight games today, as did Lee So-hee and Shin Seung-chan.

The host nation's Dechapol Puavaranukroh and Sapsiree Taerattanachai reached the mixed doubles final and will face Chae Yu-jung and Seo Seung-jae of South Korea.
