Spencer Sautu's late goal ensured the spoils were shared in Zambia and Guinea's top-of-the-table Group D clash at the African Nations Championship, while Tanzania recorded a vital win.

Guinea led at Limbe Stadium on the Cameroonian coast through 21-year-old Victor Kantabadouna's deft touch, but could not hold on.

Sautu equalised for Zambia in the 87th minute, heading home a deep cross.

The result leaves both teams on four points with a game to play, although Guinea top the group thanks to their superior goal difference.

Tanzania are now just a point behind thanks to a 1-0 win versus Namibia.

Faridi Mussa scored the only goal of the game to eliminate Namibia.

Tanzania face Guinea on Wednesday (January 27) knowing they must win to advance, while the Copper Bullets will play Namibia needing just a point.

The group's top two teams will go through to the quarter-finals.

The African Nations Championship is the continent's second-tier international tournament, only open to domestic-based players.
