Russian teenager Sofia Nadyrshina leads the International Ski Federation (FIS) Snowboard World Cup parallel standings ahead of a home World Cup in Moscow.

Nadyrshina has won back-to-back events this month, at Scuol in Switzerland and Bad Gastein in Austria.

The 17-year-old has 274 points to lead Germany's Ramona Theresia Hofmeister, winner of last season's parallel crystal globe, by 10 points.

Moscow is due to stage just the second parallel slalom event of the FIS Snowboard World Cup season and fifth parallel contest overall.

Nadyrshina won the previous parallel slalom World Cup contest in Bad Gastein.

The Russian was a double gold medallist at December's FIS Junior World Championships - a month before recording maiden World Cup victories.

In the men's Snowboard World Cup, four different athletes have won the four races to date but Austrian Andreas Prommegger - who is not one of them - tops the overall standings.

Igor Sluev, victorious in Scuol, and double parallel world champion Dmitry Loginov figure to lead the Russian charge.

After tomorrow's World Cup, a doubleheader is scheduled at another Russian venue, Lake Bannoye, in a week's time.
