The SheBelieves Cup, an important tune-up event ahead of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, will begin in Florida tomorrow with two storied rivalries being renewed.

Brazil and Argentina are set to meet in the opening match at Exploria Stadium - home of Orlando City and Orlando Pride - before the United States and Canada face off.

The US are the reigning world champions, while Canada won an Olympic bronze medal at Rio 2016.

Canada, Brazil - who lost that third-place playoff on home soil - and the US have all qualified for this year's Olympics, so the invitational tournament is a rare opportunity to face other teams ahead of the Games.

Argentina were a late addition to the SheBelieves Cup, replacing Japan, who would not travel due to the high number of coronavirus cases in the US and Japanese travel restrictions.

The US twice played Colombia in January - winning both matches by an aggregate score of 10-0 - and have included star names such as Alex Morgan, Carli Lloyd, Rose Lavelle and Megan Rapinoe in their squad.

"I'm really excited about these games because we're in a really good place right now," Morgan, who has recently returned from a short and injury-hit spell at Tottenham Hotspur in England, said.

"A lot of the players are excited for the opportunity to play top teams.

"Regardless of Japan dropping out, we have three amazing teams we're looking forward to playing.

"We're preparing like these are preparation games for the Olympics."

Canada have not played since March, and will be without Christine Sinclair, international football's all-time leading scorer.

Brazil twice smashed Ecuador in friendlies in November and December - their only games since last March - and recently signed manager Pia Sundhage to an extension which covers the next Olympic cycle.

The SheBelieves Cup is a round-robin tournament and all games will be played at Exploria Stadium.

The US are the reigning champions, beating all comers - Spain, England and Japan - last year.
