Audition will feature as a promoted title at the IESF World Championships ©IESF

The International Esports Federation (IESF) has confirmed online rhythm game Audition will feature as a promoted title at its World Championships in Israel this year.

Audition is the latest title to be added to the event in Eliat, which had been due to take place in 2020 before being postponed as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Competition in the game, published by HanbitSoft, will be held in the individual format and players will represent their countries when battling it out for gold, silver and bronze.

Audition made its debut at the IESF World Championships last year, staged online due to the global health crisis.

Domin "Fabulous" Ahn of South Korea claimed the gold medal and the IESF said it hoped he would return to defend his title.

Eilat was chosen as the host city of the IESF’s 13th Esports World Championship following the cancellation of the global finals event in 2020.

The format of the competition will be similar to last year’s as the World Championship’s Regional Games will be held online and the best players and teams will be participating in the offline Global Finals in Eilat.

Other titles set to be contested include DOTA 2 and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.
